One thing is for certain; if it is fun you are more likely to stick with
it even if the underlying reality is built on the idea of being
difficult (our first hash tag is #burnouchdun...use it). The word hard in Rock Hard Fitness means exactly that, hard.
The recent science...
If
you enjoy your workouts you control your food intake better according
to a new study out of Cornell (Food and Brand Lab study). It is linked
to an idea known as compensation (rewarding...licensing effect). When you
do something you don't want to do you often reward yourself differently
and food is often a first choice in rewarding or compensating.
In
short, people tend to eat more junk food if they hate their workouts
according to the recent study. Makes sense from this dialog: "I just
made it through the toughest workout so surely I can eat a little more
of that left over pumpkin pie from Thanksgiving." The problem is that it
often never stops there. It morphs into other areas of life. Never let
it.
We really understand the fun factor at RHF. Hard can be
fun. Fun can certainly be hard. Just switch the forces if you are held
back at all.
Try this...
Look at
your workouts as a break from work or daily stress. You will be happier.
When you are happier fitness is fun as it should be...
You get what you go after...
